| Admission Criteria |
To be admitted as a first-time college
freshman or as a transfer student, the applicant must have graduated
with a U.A.E. Secondary Certificate or its equivalent. Specifically,
the minimum requirements for regular admission include:
A completed and signed application for admission. An
official transcript of a U.A.E. Secondary School Certificate or
its equivalent, as approved by Ministry of Education, showing
an average of 55%.
OR
An ‘O' Level certificate showing the
student appeared in at least 7 O Level subjects with a minimum
grade of ‘C' in each subject.
Satisfactory achievement in English
with at least a TOEFL score of 500 (or equivalent) or qualifying
in our placement test in English.

| Credit Transfer |
| Transfer credit may be accepted at the
discretion of Syscoms College following an examination of a student's
official/academic transcript and supporting course descriptions
from an officially recognized or accredited institution of higher
education. Transfer credits will be awarded provided: a.
the student meets the admissions requirements of the program
b. the student is transfered from an institute recognized by the
Ministry of Education (Higher Education)
c. the course is equivalent to a Syscoms College course
d. the student has earned a grade of at least ‘C’
in the course or grade point of 2.0 on a scale of 4.0 in the course
Not all courses accepted for transfer will
automatically count toward the completion of degree requirements
at Syscoms College. A maximum of 50% of the total credits required
for the program can be applied toward program completion of the
60-semester credit ASIT program. Students must meet the Degree
Completion requirements before being able to graduate.

| Refund Policy |
Refunds are governed by the following
regulations:
• Admission and Registration fees are not refundable
• If a student withdraws within the first two weeks of the
semester, 80% of the course fee will be refunded
• If a student withdraws after two weeks but within four weeks
of the semester, 50% of the course fee will be refunded
• No refunds will be made after the four weeks under any circumstances.
Repeating a course
If a student repeats a course, either due to withdrawal or failure,
he or she must pay the full course fee at the time of registration.
The maximum number of times a student can repeat any one course
is limited to 4.
Clearance
Official transcripts will not be processed until all financial dues
are cleared.

| Scholarships |
In order to assist students in financing
their programme the following scholarships and financial aid packages
are available. Students should note the various financial aid and
scholarship packages only apply to the course fee and no discount
will be applied to any other fee. A student is not allowed to get
more than one discount from the College.A financial aid committee
meets regularly to decide on these applications. Their decisions
are final and binding and are conveyed in writing to the students.
These decisions are subject to normal auditing requirements in compliance
with all UAE laws.
Scholarships
Scholarships are intended primarily to help students who are high
achievers in their secondary studies and who are able to maintain
that standard throughout the Syscoms College programme. Application
for the scholarship can be made to the Admissions office, prior
to the commencements of the programme.
a. Two Annual scholarships for national students, who have scored
90% or above in secondary school examination, subject to the maintenance
of a GPA of 3.75 in subsequent semesters, will receive a 50% discount
on the semester course fee. b. Students
who have scored 90% or above in UAE Secondary School Exam or equivalent
will receive 10% discount on first semester course fee.
c. Students who maintain a semester
GPA of 3.75 will be eligible for a 10% discount in the next semester’s
course fee.
Financial Aid
Financial aid packages are intended
primarily to help students who can demonstrate the need for support
based on SC’s financial support criteria.
• 5% waiver of the course fee is granted to a student who
registers at Syscoms and who already has a brother or a sister
studying at Syscoms.
• Students requesting financial
aid need to fill out the financial aid request form and submit
it along with all supporting documents to the Admissions Office. |

Credits earned through ASIT Program are transferable
locally and internationally. Syscoms College also has academic association
with renowned universities. |
